Adding integrations to Organic CMS
Organic CMS is compatible with a wide range of partners, and many integrations can be configured directly from the Organic CMS WordPress dashboard or Google Tag Manager without additional engineering. In some instances, adding a new component to a fully custom frontend may require some minor frontend engineering.
Affiliate
Trackonomics
Trackonomics can be enabled in the Organic CMS WordPress dashboard. Navigate to Options > Features and select Trackonomics, then click update. Next, navigate to Settings > Trackonomics and enter the Customer ID provided by the Trackonomics representative and save changes.
Alternatively the client team can activate Trackonomics by adding a Content Attribution Tag (provided by Trackonomics) via Google Tag Manager.
Skimlinks
Existing Skimlinks accounts can be integrated via the Organic CMS WordPress dashboard. Navigate to Recurrent Options > Skimlinks and select Enabled. Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, User ID, Publisher ID, and Site ID provided by the Skimlinks representative, then click update to activate the integration.
Chicory
The Chicory support team must greenlight any dev, staging, and production urls in order for the Chicory button to appear on frontend. In Organic CMS, engineers can activate the Chicory feature. Chicory ad and targeting preferences, and Chicory CTA button can be adjusted by the client team in the Organic CMS WordPress dashboard at Settings > Chicory Integration.
Chicory CTA buttons appear on content that Chicory has crawled. Contact Chicory support for timing estimates to crawl new or existing content.
Frontend engineering may be necessary for sites with custom page templates.
Amazon
Default Amazon Affiliate tracking codes can be set at the site level in Options > Amazon Links.
Analytics
Google Analytics
Organic recommends that client teams integrate Google Analytics via their Google Tag Manager. Configurations for tracking events or custom dimensions can be added by the client team or third-party partner by using Google Tag Manager.
Chartbeat
Chartbeat can be enabled in the Organic CMS WordPress dashboard. Navigate to Options > Analytics > Chartbeat and click Enabled. Enter the Chartbeat UID provided by Chartbeat and click Update to save changes.
Quantcast
Quantcast can be enabled in the Organic CMS WordPress dashboard. Navigate to Recurrent Options > Analytics > Quantcast and click Enabled. Then enter the Quantcast Tag ID and the Quantcast P-Code provided by Quantcast and click Update to save changes.
Meta domain verification
Meta domain verification can be configured in the Organic CMS WordPress dashboard at Options > Analytics > Facebook Domain Verification Meta. Copy the code provided in the Meta domain verification instructions and add it to this field and click update to save. Changes must be confirmed in the Facebook dashboard.
If meta domain verification is not visible after making changes, this is likely a cache issue and can be resolved by purging the Redis and Fastly caches.
Meta pixel
Meta pixels can be integrated by the client in Google Tag Manager.
Audience development
Sailthru
Sailthru can be integrated via Sailthru’s WordPress plugin. Follow the configuration instructions provided by Sailthru.
Wunderkind
Wunderkind can be integrated via Google Tag Manager.
True Anthem
True Anthem can be integrated via Google Tag Manager.
OpenWeb
OpenWeb (Spot.IM) commenting can be enabled via the Organic CMS WordPress dashboard. Navigate to Options > Spot.IM and select Enabled. Enter the Spot.IM ID provided by the OpenWeb representative. Optional: Enable ads and reviews if desired. Click Update to save preferences. Frontend engineering work may be necessary when adding comments to sites with custom page templates.
Content
Connatix Player (Elements player)
The Connatix Elements player (used for in-line video) can be integrated via the Organic CMS WordPress dashboard. Navigate to Options > Features > Connatix Video Block and select enabled. Then add the player ID provided by Connatix.
Connatix videos can then be added at the post level by adding a Connatix video block and adding the video ID.
Ceros
Ceros pages or elements can be added to Organic CMS by copying iframe html from the Ceros dashboard and pasting it into the Post or Page editors (code editor) or into html blocks. For screen-wide Ceros experiences, navigate to Post Template in the editor and select Is Ceros Article.
Engineering work may be necessary to create Ceros-friendly page templates on sites with custom frontend design.
Syndication (Feeds)
General and category RSS feeds
Organic CMS automatically generates RSS feeds for your website's content.

MSN
This feed can be provided to MSN for syndication. MSN syndication settings can be adjusted at Settings > Organic Syndication Controls > General MSN Settings.

This feed can be provided to Yahoo for syndication. Yahoo syndication settings can be adjusted at Settings > Organic Syndication Controls > General Yahoo Settings.

Flipboard
A Flipboard-specific RSS feed can be generated by Organic engineers when requested by the client team. This feed can be provided to Flipboard for syndication. Category-specific RSS feeds can be added to individual Flipboard magazines to further automate flipping. Flipboard syndication settings can be adjusted at Settings > Organic Syndication Controls > General Flipboard Settings.

SmartNews
A SmartNews-specific RSS feed can be generated by Organic engineers when requested by the client team. This feed can be provided to SmartNews for syndication. SmartNews syndication settings can be adjusted at Settings > Organic Syndication Controls > General SmartNews Settings. If integrating with Google Analytics, Organic recommends that clients first consult with their analytics or audience development teams to ensure common understanding around if SmartNews will be configured as onsite or offsite traffic.
NewsBreak
A NewsBreak-specific RSS feed can be generated by Organic engineers when requested by the client team. This feed can be provided to NewsBreak for syndication.
Google News
Client teams can claim ownership of their domain in the Google News Publisher Center. Google will prompt brands to verify claim ownership by adding a TXT record to the DNS configuration. Client may provide this TXT record to Organic Support to have an Organic engineer add the record to the DNS.
A Google News-specific RSS feed can be generated by Organic engineers when requested by the client team. This feed can be provided to Google News Publisher Center for syndication. Google News syndication settings can be adjusted at Settings > Organic Syndication Controls > General Google News Settings.
Apple News
Apple News feeding by API can be enabled by using the Apple News plugin for WordPress.
Other
Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager can be integrated in the Organic CMS WordPress dashboard. Navigate to Options > Analytics and click Enabled. Add the name of the code for the Google Tag Manager container and click Update.
When adding other third-party integrations not mentioned in this document, clients can consider adding them via Google Tag Manager when possible.
